“Haunted” came to us in a moment of dark cinematic inspiration. Built on a loop of a heartbeat and a detuned electric piano, the track grew into a living song that morphs from lament to celebration. The music blends organic instrumentation and samples with modular synthesis for movement and unpredictability and atmospheric pads from Omnisphere.

The b-side, “Revenants,” is an electronic-orchestral instrumental that brings home the theme of ghosts—in this case, an army of ghosts swarming from a nightmare. On this track, we blended orchestral sample libraries from Spitfire Audio with Arturia’s reproduction of the Prophet 5 and Audio Damage’s Continua.

All tracks were recorded at the Pixie Nest using Ableton Live 10 and Logic Pro. “Haunted” features wonderful plugins from Soundtoys, Valhalla, and Oeksound.
